Why we built LumERP
Lumethics has spent over two decades designing, building and supporting IT systems for organisations across healthcare, telecoms, financial services and manufacturing. When a large commodity processing operation asked us to solve their software problem, we saw a gap in the market.
The tools available fell into two camps: legacy CTRM systems designed for paper traders with no physical operations, or enterprise ERPs so broad they forced commodity businesses to work around their own software. Neither was built for the people who actually run a factory floor — the weighbridge operators, quality analysts and procurement teams.
We brought what we know — enterprise-grade architecture, security, audit compliance and user-centred design — and applied it to the problem. The result is LumERP: a platform that connects contracts, receiving, quality, stock, production, dispatch and settlement in one system.
We are building LumERP in close partnership with a working commodity operation, so every feature is tested against real workflows, not assumptions. The platform is designed to extend across agriculture, oilseeds, grains and other physical commodity industries.
